Kakavia is a traditional Greek fish soup shaped by life along the Aegean Sea, where fishermen once cooked their fresh catch with herbs and spices on the shore. Shared around open fires, it reflected gratitude and community. Today, it remains a cherished dish, capturing the flavours of the sea and the warmth of Greek hospitality and maritime tradition.
